Racecourse Beach Tourist Park fronts onto Racecourse Beach – a long beach which is renowned both locally and afar for incomparable surfing, fishing and an abundance of sea-life, including the much loved dolphin.
Bawley Point is the northern gateway to the Murramarang National Park, a unique coastal park protecting the beautiful Spotted Gum and a must for nature lovers. Within the park are Pebbly Beach and its famous "surfing kangaroos" – a huge kangaroo population that are happy to be patted and pose for photos, and Mount Durras, from which there are magnificent views over the coast and hinterland. Other National Parks only a short drive away include the Budawang National Park, Bimberamala National Park and the spectacular Morton Nation Park with Pigeon House Mountain.
For the young at heart, a visit to the Mogo Zoo is a must with the opportunity to see many of the rare and exotic animals of the world including the white lions which are the only ones in Australia. While at Mogo take a trip back to the gold rush days and visit Old Mogo Town – the Gold Rush Theme Park. Here it is possible to pan for gold, explore the mine tunnel, check out the digger's camp or just simply enjoy a picnic by the lake.
